PROF. K T RAVINDRAN

Prof K T Ravindran is a Planner , Urban Designer, Academic, Architect with over five decades of experience. His professional affiliations and accolades span across various National as well as International organizations and governing bodies. He currently serves as chairman of the Architectural Heritage Advisory Committee of INTACH, Trustee of the Indian Heritage Cities Network Foundation and was Member of the Advisory Board for the United Nations Capital Master Plan, New York. He was Member of the expert committee under the Government of India for the new capital of Andhra Pradesh and subsequently Member of the International Jury for the A.P. Capital Complex. He was formerly Vice Chairman of the Central Environmental Impact Assessment Committee and served as former Head of Urban design and Dean at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi for over 30 decades. He is the Founder President of the Institute of Urban Designers India, Member Governing Council of NID, Vijayawada, Member National Advisory Committee on HRIDAY cities.

He was former Chairman Delhi Urban Art Commission. His practice includes design of cultural buildings, memorials, green-field cities, adaptive reuse and urban conservation. His works and research are published in journals and books both nationally and internationally.

Ar.Habeeb Khan, Ex.President Council Of Architecture,New Delhi is an eminent Architect and Academician with a career spanning over three decades. He began his journey as Founding partner, Smita & Habeeb Khan Architects and was recognised for his work based on a unique philosophy “Contemporary Vernacular” in several National as well as International fora. He has served in prestigious positions in Institutions across the country and has received several accolades for his work including the INTBAU* excellence award 2018 for sustainable building in the world, the State Level Award For Excellence In Architecture, IIA (2012), The Orange City Achievement Award, Nagpur(2009) to name a few.
