AR. BARATHI S. N

M.ARCH. ENVIRONMENTAL ARCHITECTURE

Barathi S.N. is an Associate Professor, at Mohammed Sathak AJ Academy of Architecture. After graduating from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy(NITT) in 2006 completed Masters in Environmental Architecture. She runs a design practice with her academic interest spanning over 13 years. She was associated with CARE School of Architecture and had the opportunity to work under mentors like prof Neelkanth Chaya, Harmiohan Pillai, Ar. Vijayakumar and several others. Her current investigations in the design studios and methodologies adopted are an outcome of her belief that architects have a social responsibility. Barathi’s natural affinity towards nature kept her interests revolving around architecture that is nature-inclusive, context sensible, and woven with art with the true expression of materials.


AR. DIVYA CHAKRAVARTI

MHP, GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN URBANISM & BUILT ENVIRONMENT.

Divya Chakravarti, a conservation architect by profession, has been involved in the world of academia for a decade now and is currently one of the main faculty for the Masters Programme in Architectural Conservation, one of its kind in Tamil Nadu.

She as a practicing conservation architect, has worked in the field of conservation since 2009 and has been involved in field work and research work in Los Angeles, Edinburgh and our home India. She as a co- founder of De Artisan has conducted workshops with Dakshinachitra promoting traditional arts and crafts like making of Athangudi Tiles, Chettinad plaster etc.

She has written for both national and international journals focusing on her passion of conservation, urban planning, evaluating heritage and sustainability.


AR. SHEEBA J

M.ARCH, GENERAL ARCHITECTURE

Ar. Sheeba is an educator as well as a practicing architect, also an alumna of the School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University and Adhiyamaan College of Engineering having a Master’s in General Architecture, and has keen interests in History, Design Thinking & Research. Her interests spread across varied domains particularly Studying and documenting Rural Communities, identifying issues and interventions in Urban areas, and emphasizing need-based Housing. She has undertaken projects on her own in residential, educational, and religious areas for the past 10 years. Being a Meritorious student, she is a recipient of the “Memento Awardee” in M.Arch and (Late) Thiru. B. C. Sengupta Endowment Award for the “Best student in M.Arch”. Her teaching career has envisioned and guided many students for the past 11 years. She also has numerous publications to her credit.


AR. YAGAPRIYA S

M.ARCH, INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

Ar. Yagapriya is an Associate professor at MSAJAA since 2019. An architect with seven years of industrial experience in design, detailing, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, project implementation, and 6 years of teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Periyar Maniammai college of engineering, affiliated with Anna University, Thanjavur, and is a Gold Medalist-Master’s Degree in Interior Architecture from Dr. M.G.R. Educational & Research Institute, Chennai.


AR. JANANI S

M.ARCH, GENERAL ARCHITECTURE

Ar. Janani joined MSAJAA in 2014. She completed her bachelor’s degree(B.Arch.) from PMCTW at Tanjore in (2003-2008) and post-graduation in (2015- 2017) from BIHER University, Chennai. She has six years of industrial experience in various fields of architecture, specializing in Interior projects – Commercial, Institutional, health care projects, and eight years of teaching experience. She is an Eminent sportsperson.


AR. ANBARASI S

M.ARCH, GENERAL ARCHITECTURE

Anbarasi works at MSAJAA as an Associate Professor. She has an M.Arch degree and has worked with well-known architects such as Ar. Sujatha Shankar. She also has a wealth of industrial experience. She has led major scope projects involving interior design and has aesthetic and functional material knowledge, which is essential in executing good interior projects.


AR. PALLAVI DAMODARA

M.PLNG, ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING

An Architect – Environmental Planner having a broadened perspective stemming from her experiences of working in multi-national organizations concentrated in Urban & Environmental Planning, Sustainable Architecture & Teaching. Passionate about living green and learning creatively, she is enthusiastic about contributing to the upcoming generation of Architects that understand their community-building role. Pallavi is invested in Architectural pedagogy and is excited to explore offbeat learning techniques that leave lasting design-thinking experiences on students.


AR. MANIMEGALAI V

M.ARCH, GENERAL ARCHITECTURE

Ar. Manimegalai Graduated B.Arch in the year 2007 from the Hindustan College of Engineering followed by M.Arch from the same institution. She worked as an architect with various major architectural firms and was involved in projects ranging from residential interiors to malls and hospitals. She started her teaching career in the year 2008 and has a teaching experience of 13 years. Her areas of interest are conservation, vernacular architecture, Research methodology, and teaching pedagogy in architecture.


AR. NANDAGOPAL

M.ARCH, GENERAL ARCHITECTURE

Ar. Nanda, After his M. Arch completed his M.Sc. in Sustainable Building: Performance and Design from Oxford, UK. He Won a scholarship for Dip. Stone Technology with an International panel of architects, a course through the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Verona, Italy. He has over 8 years of experience in academics and 13 years in the industry.
